Comino: plastic island (and paradise lost) The kiosk operators and the hotel on Comino should be forbidden and barred from using plastic in any form (bottles, bags, cups, etc), using env-friendly alternatives instead, as the seabed around Blue Lagoon is littered with plastic, as well as the adjacent garigue as can be seen in the first photo (imbasta, no sunbathing allowed on the garigue). Secondly, there are vast swathes of land around the hotel which are in disuse, such as the derelict volleyball court - such land should be restored to the original state, rather than speaking about possible extensions to the same hotel. This red van on Comino is shorn of any number plates and its road licence expired in 2012!!! Someone also deemed fit to vandalise the old stone oven close to Santa Marija Bay. And why would anyone going to Comino need to chomp down a doner kebab????? Well and truly, paradise lost
