Comment from someone last night I had not spoke to in a long time. Hey... Why are you coming off now as all intelligent and shit? Youre a writer, run a small company, you get political at the drop of a dime, and always posting quotes and poetry that youve written? Back in the day you never came off like that when we hung out drinking, partying, & all that good stuff? Now youre on some Positive shit. Keep it Real Dude. People will like you for who you are. My response (after taking a deep breath) ? Guess Ive changed as I got older. Shit happens.::shrugging my shoulders:: What I Really wanted to say? Look Dumbass! This person you see in front of you now Is The Real Al. During our time together as drinking and hangout buddies eons ago, I was in a hazy fog of acceptance, denial, and an unfulfilled life. While I have nobody to blame but myself for that period of insecurity and unrest, I Woke Up. I realize now, that I was dumbing myself down, to fit in with what I now see as Temporary Gratification adjoining myself to peers with vision that only extends to day by day. My refusal to take charge as the Leader I was born to be, hindered not only my evolution as a Man, but as a Family Man as well. This college educated Man with 2 Degrees was settling in life, scared to step outside the box, and thus surrounded himself with those who had no Real True Aspirations in Life, namely ::ahem:: Yourself. Who you see in front of you now is the Real Deal AL Spaulding. The Person I was destined to be. So while I continue on my path to learn from my experiences, and chase the ideals in Life that will have a positive impact on me and mine... I will leave you to digging around in a bar, drinking Jager shots, and getting your future read by Jack Daniels, Bud Light & whatever Bar Rat you wake up to in the morning. This is The Real Me Sucka... Maybe one day you will find the Real You. ::sigh:: Maybe I should have responded that way but, Id probably would have had to dumb it down for comprehensions sake. :) GDay Folks.
