Comment of the day: I fail to see why people overstaying their visa by 90 days is news. In any European country, or the USA, overstaying by 90 days (Three months!?) you would almost certainly be banned. If you want to stay for an extended period you can get multiple entry tourist visas, education visas or business visas. Retirement visas are another possibility. Why would you simply overstay for 90 days? A few days may be an accident, or be because of a travel problem or illness, but anyone overstaying this long is doing so deliberately and should not be surprised if they there are repercussions!
