Comment of the day on the Chris Rock article: My ancestors came over in the 1880s as part of the Irish migration. Lived and worked hard through the No Irish need apply days and ended up teachers and middle class factory workers. What actions do I need to be responsible for again? As if one individual can be responsible for the actions of another. Especially dead ones. Chris, you know who carries most of the slave owner blood in America today? THINK ABOUT IT. Blacks and southern Democrats. The rest of us came here long after slavery ended, or didnt own them. So why dont you get out there and start helping the kids trapped in contemporary economic slavery? Why dont you and Jay-Z and all these other ghetto blasters acknowledge the value of education in your lives and teach other young black kids to do the same. Glorify stupid for money and do your good works by helping kids learn to think. Stop blaming, get over it, and make a real difference in the lives of poor kids.
