Comment on Article...... Though the article is almost three weeks old but an excellent analysis by Musharaf Zaidi. According to him, Pakistan with Khan at the helm would be a disaster of epic proportions -- and thats even with the countrys extremely high tolerance for shambolic leadership. Khan may be the worlds oldest teenager, with a captive national audience. He thumbs his nose at political niceties and employs an invective that dumbs down the discourse. Like Justin Bieber, Khan focuses on electrifying the urban youth who genuinely believe him to be a messianic solution to the disenchantment they feel about their country. And Khans understanding of Pakistans problems is probably only slightly more sophisticated than Biebers. Khan does not have the policy chops to fix what ails Pakistan: The crux of his efforts during these few weeks has been that he, not Sharif, should be prime minister. I second the writer opinion and this has been always my stance. I feel IK should realize that people of Pakistan have started expecting too much from him. Can we compare intellect be comparable with that of Late Prime Ministers like Hussain Shaheed Soharwardy or Mr Bhutto . A country of 200 million people out of which 120 million are living below poverty line is disturbing. According to survey, the poverty stricken people hardly take meat 4 times a year, drinks polluted water from the same pond from where animals drink and negligble availability of medical facilities, which means one hospital bed availabe per 30,000 individuals and creation of 3 million jobs each year coupled with energy crises. How will IK manage alone. The dreamy glitter and rosy picture he bubbles each day in Dharna is not achievable in short period. Certainly Dharna in Islamabad and one in Karachi in the larger context has shaken our politicians that people hates them and thats for sure. They want a change for good, justice, rule of law, eradication of feudal mindset, MNAs and MPAs to consider themselves as representatives of their constituencies to take care of their voters problems. Such challenging problems neither IK, TUQ, MNS, AZ, Altaf nor any one else can solve alone. There is no option but to get rid of this rotten, rusty and degenerated system of British slavish legacy by constituting a NATIONAL GOVERNMENT for at-least period of 5 years to clean the muck. These are defining moments in the checkered history of Pakistan and Supreme Court must come forward to fulfill its constitutional obligations under the pretext of DOCTRINE OF NECESSITY FOR JURIST INTERVENTION. Other state institutions should assist SC to get rid of ongoing unrest causing state billions of dollars of losses. No corporate entity from international community is ready to come forward because of lack of confidence in the system, corruption, insecurity and inconsistent state policies. The biggest traitor who shattered the confidence of international community is ex Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry who bulldozed the sale of Steel Mill agreement. Had the international obligations respected today the production of steel mill would have been 10 times more and earnings rising to billions of dollars besides creation of thousands of job opportunities. I would request as a citizen of Pakistan to the Honorable Supreme Court to rise to the occasion to fulfill the aspirations of people of Pakistan and save country from further catas. I hope sanity prevails amongst all our leaders and they should sit down and decide the future course of action that strengthen the state institutions rather than individuals. I wish IK the best of luck and, I also wish that my assessment regading his lack of abilities to handle country affairs stands incorrect. LONG LIVE PAKSITAN Ameen .
