Comment re: Counter insergency 101. ISIS could not possibly survive and manuver with out the active support, willingness and.or blind eye of the local poulation in the areas in which it operates. Mao was the expert!! All the white washing Obama wants to do does not change this most basic concept of Low Intensit Conflict (LIC). Second, We must have a robust non apologetic campaign to target and eliminate key desicion makers in the Islamic Extremism command and control structure. If & when they surface they are eliminated every time. This elimination effort must reach far back into the rear area of operations to where the financiers and politicians operate in the wealthy oil countries. This is done through Human Intelligence and Strike teams. Third, We control the skies with out competition.. We must exploit that fact. Every target that can be destryed; should be destroyed. We should make it impossible for ISIS to manuver medium and lage numbers of troops and equipment over the road by day or night. (We own the night).
