Commentary Excerpts while we await the Good Abia Media Tour Report. Lydia Valch wrote and I love it A GOOD JOURNALIST DOES NOT DEFEND BROWN ENVELOPES BUT HIS/HER PEN. May your pen never run dry. Eze Onions wrote T.A Orji has shown numerous achievements so far in the history of Abia.. so we believe that seeing is believing.. i know that enough testimonies are waiting for abians to hear.. welcome to abia state GODS OWN STATE.. Umeasor Valentine Ifeanyi wrote Aba report is my concern......so forget about umuahia the capital city. Aba is like the treasure base of the state in terms of revenue.ok Eche Ugo wrote Nice one. If you will be honest in your assessment, you will notice that Abia has not had it this good before now. From the youth/women empowerment to the advancement in the medical and health sector, to what hes done in agriculture and the numerous structures that have been put in place particularly in the capital city and all that and all that. But like every other government, Gov. T.A Orjis administration cannot be perfect and the most normal thing to expect u say is that Aba leaves more to be desired, Aba though is not the only town in Abia and the Aba story needs both the government and the peoples contribution. One fact remains though, when u put into perspective that this government had to start from scratch then you will understand why the government deserves all the praise it gets. I do trust your honest assessment though. Ikem Llyod wrote well, its better you have a first hand confirmation of Abia yourself. thank God you guys are well to do and nobody is gonna accuse the governor of giving you bribes . Sharp Sharp Adekunle wrote Chukwudi, I hv a lot of respect for ur blog. Go, check n report wat Yu saw. I will be visiting d state very soon n I will personally go round n c tins for myself. Dont b influenced by any govt officials whatsoever pls. Period! Iam Bishop wrote My problem with your reports when It comes will be that, you dont know Abia State and for that reason they will take you to were they want to take you to, since they are the one driving you all around. If they will allow you to join opposition or aggressive member of the society, then you will see the real pictures of Abia State. Remember that what ever they show you will be compared with what is equivalent to the money he and his son has collected in 8years. Tony Osborg wrote Chukwudi, the truth is that, as long as the tour was organized by the State Government, there must be brown envelope for you guys. It is official and legal. So dont tell us there was no mobilization, no brown envelope, or no promise. If it has not being made, it will be made. Like I said before, it is the official practice and its legal. In fact, if they give u 1milion, collect it, if u dont, someone else will collect it and record that you collected it. It becomes injustice on ur part to reject the envelope. Anyway, I would have loved to give you a clue on the kind of questions that you should ask them that would keep them stammering. But its ok, do enjoy your tour, my broda Kay Kay Onwuegbu wrote Chuks, Abia especially Aba is over-taxed. Why is he (Ochendo) only empowering touts aka (umu York) in his youth empowerment scheme? Make sure u ask people of their opinion of tis govt. Check out Roads in Aba. Pls be objective and honest and professional in your reporting. Seneca Busybrain Chisom wrote Chukwudi Iwuchukwu I live in aba and I have been to almost all the state in Nigeria I am authoritatively telling you that the state of abia state is more that a bad news .... no amount of tour can change it... even the blind can see it... Ta orjis administration is not marketable... No need of accusing any body for collecting brown, green or even red envelope(S)There is this popula prayer in aba Who ever said this administration has done well, let his whole living and yet unborn be like the abia state under this administration Egbule Lynn Onyii wrote I totally agree with ur objective reports, unfortunately most of dose projects are fraught with illegal motives, like the former ministry of lands which he moved only to use d former place for his personal estate. I cant wait to hear ur reports when u get to Aba.... David Ani wrote most of the people bad mouthing you will jump at such offer....BUT I must say,it will be a herculean task to fire at all cylinder against your host....may God help you. Also,Umuahia is not all bad news is a bad intro for a yet to be done tour. Prince M Uwadi wrote Some will see half full, others half empty. Let Ur conscience be Ur guide. Report exactly what you saw, no matter some will always think and say otherwise. Its natural, as long as God almighty allowed the devil to be amongst humans. There will always be malicious, retrogressive and negative people, who will try to paint white to black. But, history will vindicate the just. David Ibeabuchi wrote TAKE NOTICE: For the sake of transparency, if u are taken to Aba and they did not show u anywhere around Ngwa Road, then u should not mention that u went to Aba. Bc thats the hub of all commercial activities in Aba, after Ariara Intl Market. I think the excuse that will be given for not taking u there is that the road is very busy and traffic. Lies!! The truth is that there is no pliable road, be ready to fold ur trousers and dip ur legs in the mud! What u see is that Aba is the most neglected urban city in Nigeria. And the residents of Aba will be quick to tell u that they once threw satchets of pure water at Ochendo when he came to the streets in Aba. For the records I dont live in Aba neither am I an Abia indigene & I dont stand to gain any form of attention from this post but the truth must be told. Aba does not derive any benefit from the govt of Abia state, if the common man cannot access good roads for his business. Uche Ezechukwu wrote You are right to go. That is one function of journalism. You owe nobody an explanation and I am surprised that you are explaining this in so many words. Every journalist worth his or her salt in the world is invited on what we call a media junket by interested parties to see what is on the ground or what is in dispute. Most of those challenging you are either ignorant of the fact or are envious of you, for never being able to get such an invitation. Alake Charles wrote Chuks, apart from d guided tour, you need to move around to see things by yourself and ask d masses some questions Iniabasi Bassey Asuqwo wrote #- Remember i told you that this tour will make or mar you on this street (Facebook). The hardest job to do in Nigeria today is to tell people (Nigerians) that Ochendo is working in Abia. Like i said in one of my comments hear, i wish the day you guys will visit Aba, it will rain that day. Even broadcasters in Abia state, finds it so hard to sell the Ochendo brand to Abians. Tell him to take you guys to villages in Ikwuano, Isiala-Ngwa mostly the part close to Ikwuano and Obot-Akara in Akwa ibom state. Love Njoku Nnanna wrote Pls dont forget to visist ariaria, obohia, ohanku,Abia state University(ask students confidential questions and visit some labs and faculty blocks) etc,and my prayer for you is that it rains that day. A govt that failed to provide its citizens good roads, electricity, and other basic social amenities is a failed one... Until your objective conclusion, i rest my case here lawyer Frank Iranian wrote Chukwudi Iwuchukwu is doing a great job and in recognition of that Abia state government invited him to see projects executed by the state under the current administration. We expect him to showcase what he was shown and his readers to balance it with the neglects shown by critics of the government. Charles Onyii Ekwueme wrote @Chukwudi.....Dont be discouraged. Most Nigerians are destructive critics. So go on with Ur sincere investigation and come out with d whole truth..and put d haters of good governance to shame.Whether they like it or not..Ochendo is soaring higher and higher..To God be d glory. Iam Bishop wrote Chukwudi Iwuchukwu let not your heart be trouble and dont allow this Ochendo boys put words in your mouth, I am from Umuahia and I already have my reports ready and am ready to compare it with your own. To those who are praising T.A Orji, I consider them blind men who decided to make a one eyed man king. There is confusing in the land since Alex Otis decamped to APGA. Lastly ask your host to explain this picture? Because he has been the champion of zoning, how come the zoning is not applicable to his household? Isaac Chukwuana Ikem wrote Pls oh while U tour, ask questions: Why is Ochendo owing teachers over 6months salary? I wish to see what he also have in Aba to show, till then I comment ma reserve. Happy Ochendo Tour Emma China Onuoha wrote thats an evidence that what we have in Abia State is Sponsored enemies of see no good say good politicians, that a group of young men decided to leave what they should be doing to gather and release first hand information about the state of Things in Abia they are afraid and has come up with stupid brand envelop allegation because they know that Ochendo has achieved a lot against what they want people who are not on ground to believe, cant people be objective in assesment again? must they interupt serious issues with biased accusations? pleaase stop n let these men do their work Ucheoma Ndukaku wrote A good one indeed. I wish I can come and take U guys around so that U will see things for Urselves. Thank God U guys wont be biased in Ur assessment. He has performed creditably well, especially infrastructure-wise, bearing in mind that Rome was not built in a day. Ogechukwu Enwereji Ukomah wrote Is not hear say again, Am happy this great news is coming from someone like u. T A has touch all sector in abia and I no he will still do more Ugochukwu Ezenwa Oon wrote My brother Chukwudi, governor ta orji has done well in Abia state
