Fifteen years ago, Id seen old women, some already in their white hair, vending their wares along sidewalks, near the churches and wherever the hubs are. With so many kind of coins in circulations, 1 peso, five pesos, fifty centavos, these women were confused and could be cheated if any of their daughters or literate grandchildren were not around. An old peso coin could be mistaken as new five peso coin.... The scene here is a scene of contrast, an old illiterate woman in the midst of literate young ones. That prestigious center of learning which we call University of the Philippines are where the intelligent people are. It is a fact that this university of intellectuals had been there so many years now, and its graduates are entrusted to elevate our nation from its economic woes, with the ultimate mission to make every street and sidewalk corners free from poverty in the likes of Lola Diling. It will be so embarrassment therefore for that center of intellectuals if the evidence of their failure is in their midst. ::) Emeeh Ocay Kaufmann : Kuya Daniel,kunsensya na nila yan kung ang Seniors na may kapansanan pa ay lolokohin nila or hindi..at least ay hindi siya nagnanakaw ng Billions or millions sa Kaban ng Yaman..mabuti pang mamatay na mahirap pero namuhay ng marangal kaysa mamamatay nga na mayaman pero panay naman mga Nakaw at Five Six sa pagpapautang ang ipinambuhay....sabi nga nila ay ang mahirap daw dito sa Lupa na walang ginawang masama sa kapwa at lalo na kung inaapi ay sigurado na ang lugar sa Langit.
