Commie prick Over the years, The NYTimes has eulogized more Communists on its front page than one could shake a hammer and sickle at. The latest Red to be granted this dubious honor is folk singer Pete Seeger. Seeger was once an actual member of the US Communist Party, back when the Party took its orders from Stalins Moscow. During the 1930s, he fervently supported the genocidal Communist side during the Spanish Civil War. When World War II broke out in 1939, he opposed U.S. intervention. But the moment that Germany and Seegers beloved Soviet Union began fighting, Seeger switched his tune and supported U.S. interventionism! In 1957, he was indicted for contempt of Congress. The smart-ass Marxist had openly mocked Congress while refusing to answers questions pertaining his Communist affiliations as well as the Communist subversion of Americas music and entertainment industry. Later sentenced to 10 years, the protected traitors conviction was soon overturned on appeal. In 1960, the San Diego school board told him that he could not play a scheduled concert at a high school unless he signed an oath pledging that the concert would not be used to promote a Communist agenda or an overthrow of the government. Seeger refused! The the American Civil Liberties Union obtained an injunction against the school district, allowing the concert to go on as scheduled.
