Commissioning and SU & Thermal and/or Mining Contract Operators We require immediately Power Engineers with a minimum of five (5) years commissioning experience for a project north of Fort McMurray, which is anticipated to run well into 2015. Relevant experience will be considered (power, pulp, refinery, chemical, upgrading). Shift: 14 days on, 14 days off Rate: Dependent on experience Fly-In, Fly-Out: Hubs are available throughout Canada Responsibilities: • Seek opportunities to continually improve systems and processes. • Provide recommendations and improvement initiatives to reduce operating expenses • Participate in safety initiatives and safe work practices • Generate work procedures and training junior operators • Issue work permits and supervising activities • Perform troubleshooting and problem solving efforts • Provide input and supervision for scheduled turnarounds, and operating and maintaining production pads and field production facilities • Assist with start-up and commissioning activities Qualifications: • Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills • Be very familiar with the optimization and comprehension of start-up and commissioning procedures • Must possess a valid Class 5 license • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada • Have all required safety tickets and certifications • Can demonstrate leadership experience and the ability to work well in a team or with min supervision This is a very challenging and rewarding opportunity for Power Engineers with the right set of skills!
