Commissioning for Culture and Sport - Culture First 5th December 2015, West Suffolk House, Western Way, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, IP33 3YU Culture First is bringing together the findings of the Cultural Commissioning programme and the Sport England/cCLOA project Commissioning support for Local Authorities in an event that will feature keynote speakers and interactive breakout sessions. Jessica Harris - Project Manager for the Cultural Commissioning Programme, will be presenting the findings from the recent research report; cCLOA and Sport England will share the learning from the national project to equip sport and leisure practitioners with the necessary skills to engage in the commissioning landscape. There will be case studies to locate the theory in practice and a series of breakout sessions for you to choose from. The event is free to attend and aims to raise awareness of best practice in terms of the sectors ability to deliver public sector outcomes and provide a platform for dialogue between local authority officers, Councillors, commissioners and providers. East of England Local Government Association are kindly hosting the event and providing a buffet lunch.
