Common Cause Illinois has persuaded Chicago to place this question on the February ballot for the mayoral election on February 24th. Please tell your friends, family and neighbors who live in Chicago to vote YES on this question: Should the City of Chicago or the State of Illinois empower voters and reduce the influence of big special interest money in our elections by financing campaigns using small contributions from voters and a limited amount of public funds? This is extremely important, but its only the first step. Well need your help as we work and gather an army of people to place ballot questions on their city and state elections that ask for small donations from the voters and some public financing. This will hopefully push the big donors out of the way and take this country back for the people.
