Communication: We ask for your help urgently. Our project cant fail now. We have been fighting for it for 5 years now, through thick and thin, but now the situation is desperate. We have been helping animals as much as we could. We have saved hundreds of cats and dogs from shelters those years; almost 2000 over the last 5 years, we have performed surgery on them, cured and payed residences and trainings for dogs that have been with us for years... But we cant do this anymore. We have a lot of debts and this situation is overwhelming us. Personally, we put small amounts of money to pay little things, but we cant even go on this way. We have a big debts at veterinarians, and still dogs in the shelter who need sugery and treatment. This year, we are moving to another shelter because they kicked us out of the previous one; a part of the debt comes from the Townhall because weve got a fine for putting an animal shelter where the lands werent authorized to have one in it, weve been lucky and found this one, although we didnt really have a choice and the landlord let us rent it for a reasonable price. There, we could give many opportunities to abandoned cats and dogs. Its a big shelter, ideal for a good quality of life for the animals while they would be with us. We have invested all the money we had in constructing the shelter and couldnt finish its construction; there is still a lot to do. We cant pay the rent anymore and we owe two months already. We cant pay the animal food. We cant pay the electricty, water, medicines... We have two old vans and both need repair. Were missing volontary help with the chores and daily care of cats and dogs. The ones who are there, we put all our efforts into this and do our best, but we are overwhelmed and wont be able to take this any longer. If we cant pay our debts by the first of January, well unfortunately have to close the animal protector centre, despite all the sorrow this will cause us. We know two shelters who had to close for the same reasons till now, but in Rioja, the place with most animal sacrifices per person in the whole country, if we close this would be a CATASTROPHE. In this shelter of Rioja, they sacrifice an average of 10 dogs per day. Its not for the sake of our work anymore, but for our eagerness and motivation...for the cats and dogs who wont be given a chance to live. We owe more than 3000€ and the Animales Rioja bank accounts numbers are all red. This is our last chance. Raffles, auctions, solidary purchases... All you can buy will be good to you and our animals.
