Communication is a vital tool for any effective and successful relationship. The survival of any relationship depends on it because it is the essence of relationship. Verbal and non-verbal language is an essential element for communication in friendships, business, committed relationships and virtually all other kinds of relationships. Speak out, calmly tell your partner about every instance that day when you felt threatened or insecure. It’ll help your lover to understand what upsets you, and at the same time, they can explain themselves to you too. Do not assume your partner knows everything you want in a relationship. Let him/her know. A relationship should be based on communication, not on assumptions. Learn to say what you mean. Be specific. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Communicate with your spouse, he/she is not a mind reader. You must communicate your wants and desires. Try to talk and convey your message to your spouse. Let your spouse know about how good/bad your day was, while reminding them how you feel for them. Talk to your partner, let him or her know how your day fared, share thoughts, ideas, laugh together. Send sms, call each other, discuss your future, your fears (if any). A relationship without communication is as good as dead. Another part of communication is listening. Listen to your partner, dont just do the talking all day. Listen attentively while your spouse is speaking, rather than concentrating on what you are going to say in response. This way, you can hear what your spouse is really saying. Learn to complement and say “I love you” and “I appreciate you” often. By doing this every day, this is something that can keep a union peaceful and strong. Know the best time to talk with your mate. If your spouse is not a morning person, 7 AM is not the best time to have a serious conversation. If your spouse needs an hour after work to relax, wait to have that heart-to-heart...
