Communicators are skilled, trained and knowledgeable to assist the principals to coin correct messages to be disseminated to the public or targeted audience. Communication is not about communicating for the sake of it. Communicators spend a great deal of time at Universities and other institutions to acquire this valuable knowledge and skills to master communication itself. It is so sad when principals want to direct communications themselves and screw up things, later blame the communicators. If only they can listen to advice and stick to it, they will have their work cut out so easy. It is easy to blame communicators and the media when they have screwed up interviews or when they receive bad publicity. I am just saying.......!
