Communities Against Water Charges wish to offer our support and solidarity to the fantastic teachers and nurses who have proposed strike action over the coming weeks. Communities Against Water Charges feel that this measure undertaken by the respective unions has come at a time when this shameful Government is again leaving people high and dry. A government should never gamble with the wellbeing of its people, but instead should help those affected by illness with all the finances at their disposal. We feel that our healthcare and education systems is struggling because of the lack of interest and investment by politicians with more loyalty to their own personal pensions than serving the sick and young of this country.
