Community Alert from Tasmania Police: Fire St Helens Sunday, 19 October 2014 - 4:03 pm. Updated Sunday, 19 October 2014 - 5:22 pm St Helens Point Road is closed at the Tasman Hwy due to a grass fire at Parkside (near Tasman Hwy). St Helens Point Road is further closed at Aerodrome Road (for those contemplating leaving the area). Motorists on the Eastern side of Parkside are requested to delay their exit of the area and be watchful for signs of fire. Persons unable to leave the St Helens Point Road area are requested to go to the Stieglitz Boat Ramp opposite 242 St Helens Point Road from Local Police.
