Community Announcement: QUOTE "My name is Rachael Jancowski. I am an eighth grade student at Lake Trail middle school who started a project called Gimme Shelter. Gimme Shelter advocates and raises awareness for the Comox Valley homeless. We also engage in projects that better the lives of the local homeless. This spring/summer we are creating care packages for the homeless. We are raising funds for the project. We are hosting a Charity Art Show and sale of grade 7-9 artwork at Lake Trail Middle School. Most of the display will be available for purchase. Prices will range from $15.00-$100.00. All proceeds from the will go projects that assist the homeless. Students at Lake Trail are creating art to sell. The official show opening will be on June 24, 2013 at 6:30pm-9:00pm at Lake Trail Middle School in room 102. On the opening night the artist will be there to discuss what inspired them. There will also be refreshments and food. It will be a great event to attend. The art show will be open on June 25th.2013 11:30-3:30. And on Thursday June 27th from 1:00-4:00pm. We want to invite the Comox Valley to come and check it out!
