Community Event Notice: Hey Everyone...as you know there have been several local retailers planning to permanently close shop in the county community. Its quite unfortunate and has spawned much discussion throughout our region of what can be done to prevent other businesses from having the same fate and turnaround the business climate. As a media professional, Ive had the task of covering these stories. Now with support from several concerned citizens we have a chance to maybe do something proactive. We are in the midst of organizing a public community forum to discuss the issues facing us and Save Our Businesses. Its being planned for early February (tentaively) and will feature local business, civic and municipal leaders (most importantly members of the public this impacts) to come together...have a dialogue and brainstorm/strategize proactive ways to preserve our community & local economy.
