Community Hospice of Texas is looking for a full-time Development Coordinator in our Fort Worth Administration office. The Development Coordinator is responsible for database administration, grant writing, and will provide support for all activities related to fundraising under the direction of the Director of Resource Development. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Input, manage data and mine Raiser’s Edge database in a timely, systematic and accurate manner including donor letters/recognition and other required follow-up. Create, generate and run customized reports; manage and track all activities surrounding constituent contact, proposals, campaigns, funds, appeals and events. Research and write grants. Work with Director of Resource Development to strategize individual, corporate and foundation giving. Assist with the coordination of events to increase the awareness of the organization and increase funding including event coordination, making and carrying out event arrangements, insuring excellent execution and providing follow up. Coordinate donor stewardship activities including but not limited to publications, annual reports and newsletters (written and electronic). Assist Public Relations Department with social media presence (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) to support branding and fundraising, supporting the communication strategy, creation and organization of ‘posts’, etc. Serve as a staff liaison to the Speakers Bureau providing support, speaking opportunities, training and direction to ensure a successful program. Support appropriate any of the following activities, direct mail, donor relations, planned giving, advisory boards, corporate or foundation support. Assist in the recognition of all donors as assigned. Provide support to the Director of Resource Development in all fundraising efforts. Other administrative, fundraising and public relation duties as assigned. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Minimum 2 years of college required; degree strongly preferred. Experience: 2-3 years of nonprofit, development or marketing /PR experience required. Strongly prefer: Grant writing experience. Experience with Raiser’s Edge database. Non-Profit/Marketing or Healthcare experience. Computer Skills: Excellent software application mastery: Word, Excel PowerPoint, Adobe, Publisher, etc. and affinity to learn additional computer applications as required.
