Community Leader, 2 others Killed in Bokkos, Fulani Flee Villages as Youth Swear Vangeance It was a smoky atmosphere as angry youth clamped down on Fulani settlements in Mangor Chiefdom of Bokkos LGA, Plateau State on Wednesday following an alleged attack on Tuesday night in Wang community that left the Madaki, Da Manasseh Mador dead. Sources say the attackers were identified to be neighbouring Fulani who have lived with the locals for long. Almost all the surrounding Fulani hamlets were deserted as soon as the attack was reported, a source said. According to the reports, a similar attack had occured in Mile-Bakwai community on Sunday resulting in the death of one. A motorcycle riding youngman from Manguna Chiefdom was also said to have narrowly escaped death in the hands of gunmen who had laid an ambush along the way to his home village after possibly telescoping his movements from the Mangor area where he had gone to hang out. As at the time of this report, several houses belonging to the Fulani in the area were razed down by the angry youth of the communities who have insisted on putting an end to the incessant attacks. It would be recalled that last year in March, Mile-Bakwai community of the same Mangor village witnessed a bloody attack that left about 30 people dead. Several other attacks believed to have been carried out by the same hands that masterminded the March 2013 attack had also occured in different parts of Bokkos including Maihakorin Gold, Bot, Fagin, Kunet and Kop Mandarken among others.
