Community Mobilization Programme under NPEGEL Organized in Kargil Shotopa/Kargil/05-06-2013: Three days community mobilization programme of under NPEGEL was conducted at all the four Model Cluster School of Chiktan Zone i.e. GMS Shakar, GMS Chiktan, MS Hagnis and GMS Pargue Member’s form various school falling under the Model Cluster School participated in the said programme. The programme was initiated with a review of the funds released by this institution for promotion of girl education and the organization of the programme under the component. An awareness session in the form of lectures on gender sensitization followed by a group discussion with the participations was organized. Expressing their thought on the status of the programme and importance of gender education, members of the community thanked the Resource Persons for organizing such a valuable and informative gathering. They also suggested the participants to disseminate this valuable information among the masses to bridge the gender gap in future and see a gender discrimination free society.
