Community Outreach - A committee has been formed by St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, to reach out to the community and welcome back former and new members to the Catholic Christian Church. The committe will be holding a town hall-style meeting at St. Francis School Feb. 16 unanswer questions people may have. The committee includes Michelle Fannin, Sherry Surkovovich, Ty Ford, Jennifer Sproull, Eileen Ryan, Mary Jo Turner, Father Brandon Klepner, Monsignor Henry Krebs and Desmond McGee St. Francis Church to hold town hall meeting: St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church Clearfield, PA will hold a townhall style question-andanswer Feb. 16 from 2-4 pm. in the St. Francis School cafeteria. This event is for anyone who found themselves mislead or disappointed by poor and insensitive presentations of what the Catholic Church says and does. The goal is for anyone who has found themselfs away from the Church, for whatever reason, to come and have some myths dispelled, recieve answers to questions and begin their journey back. Recently, St. Francis Church created a committee in response to Pope Francis, as well as Blessed Pope John Paul II. and Benedect XVI, encouraging the faithful to rekindle within themselves the commission givin by Christ to spread the Good News to all people. This fanning of the flames of faith has been coined The New Evangelization. The committee has dedicated itself to this New Evangelization, and as a first step, is holding this town hall-style meeting. The committee, along with the priests of the parish, will be on hand to lend an ear, answer any questions and walk with you.
