These days, concerned citizens and investors looking to capitalize on clean energy are coming up with clever ways to finance and install solar arrays. A community solar array is one which is owned by multiple individuals, and systems like this exist in numerous forms. In Carrboro, NC, a handful of investors worked with the Appalachian Institute for Renewable Energy to install a community solar array in the town commons.
