Community update in relation to the criminal damage in Amesbury from Inspector Lange; I am writing to update you about the ongoing investigation into the criminal damage to your vehicle. I am very sorry that this has happened and I am all too aware of the distress that this has caused you. Over the past year there have been 94 similar offences in the Amesbury area and many of the victims have suffered on more than one occasion. Wiltshire Police take these offences very seriously and my team and I continue to work hard in order to apprehend the offender. We believe that the offender is a male aged between 35 and 55 years and is operating on his own. A significant amount of resources are being used in order to identify this man and bring him to justice. We are working closely with the Salisbury Priority Crime team and utilising the expertise of our CID colleagues and other departments. We are following a number of lines of enquiry and officers are carrying out increased patrols in your area. If you have any information that you feel may help the enquiry please contact either of the following Officers: • Your Community Beat Manager – PC Lucy Wileman E mail - [email protected] Tel – 101 and dial extension 724817 • The Priority Crime Officer – DC Nicholas Holt E mail – [email protected] Tel – 101 and dial extension 723896 We urge the community to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity by dialling 101 or if you see a crime progress please dial 999. Yours sincerely, Inspector Christian Lange Sector Commander for Amesbury and Tidworth
