Comp Nutrition 10 things to remember 1. It is important not to change how you eat leading up to or on the day. 2. Changes to eating need to be made at least 1 month out 3. Timing of intake is key a. Straight after event b. 1 hour prior to next event 4. Never skip meals 5. Keep fluids up 6. If you can, eat more 7. BE PREPARED –pack more than you need 8. Keep it cool 9. Use protein shakes 10. Eat easily digestible foods On the day 1. Try to consume a decent breakfast at least 2 hours prior to your first event 2. If there is an extended amount of time prior to your first event eat something small an hour before you compete 3. After each event eat something rich in protein and sugars e.g protein shake & berries 4. 20min after each event eat a small meal e.g meat and veg 5. 1 hour prior to next even eat something calorie rich with sugars e.g. coconut water, banana etc.. 6. Eat good snacks that don’t make you feel heavy and lethargic e.g. Lebanese cucumbers, berries, small protein bars, broccoli, etc… 7. Don’t forget to drink lots of water Love Kyle Frankenfeld
