Company : NDS Location : Munich Your Tasks : -Investigation of issues with new features or regressions in full stack build. -Identifying defects and proposing solutions where practical. -Proving fixes from development teams and 3rd party suppliers. -Creation of builds with a specific configuration from configuration management system. -Reproducing and investigating regressions under direction from team lead or senior engineer. -Proving and measuring non-functional requirements. -Use of automated tests and build systems. -Defect management. -Generation of release notes -Reporting of status to team leader or senior engineers Requirements : -Degree (university or university of applied sciences) in electrical, communication engineering, computer science or a similar education. -Strong development skills including C (preferably realtime embedded). -Experience of structured technical problem solving. -Knowledge of software integration and debugging methods. -Experience of using version control systems to manage build configurations (preferably ClearCase). -Appreciation of the role of the integrator process and defect tracking with a disciplined software lifecycle. -Use of emulgator/debugger on embedded systems (desirable). -UPnP and networking (desirable). -Exposure to STB or DVB environment (desirable). -Excellent English language skills (both spoken and written) and German language skills (desirable). -Results driven individual with an analytical, proactive approach and objective, accurate communication skills. -Sensitive and constructive approach to problem reporting. -Receptive to changes in working methods. The Software Engineer role will involve working within a highly motivated team, integrating software components and sub systems from both internal and external development teams to run on an embedded target device.
