Compared to London, Bath is remote from bustling streets and busy shops but it is an attractive city in another way. This morning, we were attracted by the performance of buskers outside the Bath Abbey. First, there was a man in strange white costume sustaining his position for 3 hours under the scorching sun, and his body was glistening with both paint and sweat. We were amazed that, under this extreme weather, his entire body remained static except for his blinks and occasional smiles to tourists. His perseverance really deserved our respect. We met another man who played a marvelously soothing song with his guitar. Later on, there was a lady who sang like a nightingale who also got her crowds by showing passion despite the little monetary return out of the performance. We couldn’t help wondering how great art can be – especially when it is combined with passion.
