Competition day! Excited for son. He will be competing today in Chandler at a state wide Strength Meet where the athletes will be competing in various events to see how many pull ups, dips, how long he can hold a handstand, an l sit, how fast he can climb a rope, and a timed sprint. He has talked about today for the last two weeks and everyday before practice he recites the things he will be focusing on and his little goals. All I can think of are my fathers words,we will see son if all our working and planning has been on course and where we need to reevaluate and redirect our efforts. Our results are a reflection of the preparation leading up to the moment to perform. My dad never allowed me to say,I cant wait. He would atress that,yes you can wait son, our creator has given us just enough time to accomplish our dreams and every moment teaches a needed lesson. Soon enough the season will begin, the conference play, regionals, state then the season will be over and we will be right back at it. You are not ready right at this moment but you will when you focus on this moment. Regardless of results I am so proud of son and the daily effort he gives as he brings me closer to my ancestors just as I try to bring him closer to them. #familiesareforever
