Complelely froze up and was unable to play this mornings tune in class today after being able to play it perfectly and precisely dozens of time just before class on my own and playing along with my fellow students. I can play in sessions or perform in front of an audience, no problem. Put a master instructor and a few other students staring at me, particular after listening to everyone else struggle through their version of a new complex tune, and I turn into a completely incapable idiot. Its an absolutely amazing class, but this aspect of it doesnt work for me at all, never has. I may just decline to play in class for the rest of the week, its just too stressful and embarrassing.
