Complete surrender to God is essential to be saved. For faith without works is dead. Yet we are saved by faith in Christ alone. You may wonder, what does complete surrender really means. When you surrender fully to God, you become one with Him. You can ask yourself the questions below of how much youve surrendered to the Lord. - Did I laid down all burdens to God by trusting in Him and resting upon Him that He will help me? - Did I follow His perfect plan even though I do not know where He will lead me to and not go by my own plan? - Did I fully rely on God for all resources that I need and not from men? Such as approvals and attentions? - Am I disgusted at the world and its sins? Do I hate what God hates and love what God loves? Do I desire nothing more than to obey His will? - Is JESUS Christ the start and the end of my day everyday? - Am I seeking God for all answers and lean not on my own understanding nor others? - Am I putting God foremost above all relationships and things? Is my attention mainly focus on Him? - Am I relying on God for help on every detail of my life, knowing God is the best? - Am I relying all through the power and the filling of the Holy Spirit to conquer sins and have no confidence in my own flesh? - Am I repenting my sins throughout the day? Confessing sins and ask for forgiveness when I stumble? - Am I putting God over money, time, anything including my own life? - Am I willing to die for CHRIST because of my faith, and no matter what persecution may come and even if in battlefield of sharing the gospel? - Am I having an intimate relationship With CHRIST? (Eg. Worship, bible studies, prayers etc) - Am I surrendering all my Heart to God and do not compromise with Him of blocking Holy Spirits access to my temple? Am I giving complete access to Him to reign in me and through me for Him to dwell and to be His arms, legs, body, everything? - Am I blindly trusting in Him with childlike faith? Coming to God in complete humility? Coming to Him as though knowing nothing but Him the best? - Am I loving others as myself? Everyone, including my enemies? - Have I forgiven everyone and put my faith in CHRIST as my full time Lord and Saviour? Knowing that I am saved? - Am I be able to be thankful in every storm and everything? - Am I waiting for His soon return for the bride of CHRIST and watching everyday?
