Complicating the current political situation in Mexico, is the absence of any well known and accepted figure to help lead Mexico out of the current chaos. Many from the left are pushing AMLO - Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, who ran for president in 2006 and 2012 and now leader of the newest political party on the extreme left - MORENA. The problem is, AMLO has his own share of skeletons in the political closet including Morena support for the Abarca mayoral ticket in Iguala and now his continued strong support for senator Lázaro Mazón for governor of Guerrero. Lázaro Mazón is seen as the political godfather and financier for the Abarcas and pushed for them to put his close friend and ally Felipe Flores who is on the run, as police chief of Iguala.
