Con Stories! Everybody has them. So share em with us. I have some that are funny and some that are heart wrenching. Ill start with my favorite. This one became my what cosplay means to me story. It was a couple of years ago at DragonCon, and I was just sort of taking a break and stuffing my face when I felt this little tug on my uniform leg. I looked down to see this tiny little guy with patchy bald spots on his head from chemo. He looked up with this sheepish little smile and said, Misser Gosebusser, can I have a piture wiff you? I immediately put my food down and knelt down beside this brave little guy so his parent could get a photo of us. Afterwards, he gave me the biggest hug ever and walked off happy. I looked over and his Dad gave me a thumbs up as they walked away. I walked away for a moment, into the shadows, forgetting my food. And I cried. Not a snuffle, but huge crocodile tears. I have shaved my head just about every day since then. I stay bald to remember those that have lost their battles with cancer and to honor those that have won, like my Mom and my Sister-in-law.
