Thanks to her we had a fantastic wine tasting in a local winery and went to a procession in Saint George in Ragusa. The house in in a great location (even though you need a car!) right by the sea. They have equipped the house very thoughtful and we cooked dinners with fresh fish and shrimps from the market. Small villages are easy to reach by car and worth a visit. Just around the corner there is a large natural reserve where you can hike and jogg in the morning. Lost of cities like Noto, Modica, Siracusa, Vittoria, Plaza Armerina, Agrigento, Enna can be reached by car easily within maximum 2,5 hours. But you need a good map! Road signs can be confusing.
