ConFab Questions on Security & Boko Haram. President Goodluck - TopicsExpress

ConFab Questions on Security & Boko Haram. President Goodluck Jonathan surely has loads of questions to answer from the gravity of allegations raised by key leaders of the North-East in this war against Boko Haram. It is serious enough that a former Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshall Al-amin Dagash (retd.), led those who raised the posers. The questions: 1. How can about 20 to 30 Toyota Hilux vehicles ferrying Boko Haram militants move in a convoy freely with a subsisting curfew in place in Maiduguri without being detected by security agents? 2. Who authorised the withdrawal of security personnel from the Federal Government College, Buni Yadi, a few hours before the attack that claimed the lives of 59 innocent children? 3. Dagash said, Are the authorities unaware of helicopters dropping arms and ammunition, food and medical supplies to areas well known to be strongholds of the insurgents? 4. How were the insurgents able to attack the Maiduguri Air-Force Base and demobilise as well as burn planes and other military installations despite existing state of emergency and curfew in the town? 5. How did the Shilka Tank, a multipurpose self-propelled anti-aircraft artillery weapon positioned to secure Giwa Barracks fail to function resulting in heavy loss of lives of both civilian and military as widely reported in the media? Are we dealing with fifth columnists in this crisis? I remember the helicopter story was raised concerning the Fulani attacks in Benue State. So, I dont believe a fifth columnist theory. The subsisting theory, in the face of these questions, is, could there be a strategy to deliberately escalate this crisis to ensure that elections do not hold in this areas known to be sympathetic to the opposition towards the 2015 general elections?
