Concerned for our teachers (Parent): DCSD is in full retaliation mode. Apparently CSE was one of the last schools to tell the admin no to innovation status. Since then Carrie Stevens has been at the school several times observing teachers, asking kids as what the world class outcome of the lesson being taught is and looking at the teachers plans. Now several of the teachers are having their mid year eval and are being td that their plans are not inter-disciplinary enough and that they will be ranked at partially effective. Mind you, principle Roe has been an outstanding administrator and has taken great care of students and staff alike. But what happens if most of the school gets ranked as PE? They were mostly E or HE last year. Their scores continue to trend up, small but up.... Mind you significantly better than the new charter school that just opened near by. This adminstrstion is doing everything they can to destroy our schools and force full privatization. Imagine if all the teachers are shown to be failing, our capital deficit grows beyond recovery and then a bunch of good intentioned bussiness swoop in to bail out our schools via privatization.
