Concerning the movie Noah .... As a serious student of Scripture, literarily and historically speaking, primarily, I am intrigued by any telling or re-telling of biblical narratives, whether by way of lecture, preaching, writing, or films. Although I dont necessarily need to see it in the theatre; (Son of God movie was poor acting, tripe story-telling, thelogically inept, and historically questionable!) I am very much opposed to supporting Hollywoods biases. Especially as it relates to discrediting and dishonoring people of color and their rightful place in ancient (biblical) history. The ancients may or may not have been necessarily black peoples, but we do know they were NOT of European white hubris, as most of these depictions would have us believe. In any event, I may, however, be inclined to see Noah at some point, if and when it is aired on my cable line-up; at which time I will attempt to glean any potential pearls of wisdom, insight, perspective, or truth the imaginative re-telling of this biblical narrative may afford; and I will then be able to more aptly give proper analytical insight, should the project warrant such! Just not trying to make Hollywood rich on this one! Rather put it in my Lenten offering! Ijs! #themovieaintgoingnowhere #norush
