Concerning verbal threats via well place innuendos. I have considered my response or no response on the verbal abuse received because I worry for my family safety after receiving such strong negative & personal attacks from 2 AK law enforcement officials. Example of one of several responses I received: It started about 2 days ago when I dared to publicly ask a question about the proper use of a surveillance device used by law enforcers, and I asked out loud if this is a 4th Amendment violation. Holly cow did I get myself verbally attacked by 2 law AK officers. Scary! Tee Shan wrote: “McDermott has proven he is very anti authority of any kind. Very little respect for those law enforcement (the majority) that do respect the liberty they defend. He however enjoys tearing others down, trying to position his viewpoint as the only correct one” His innuendo of MOST is wrong but also dangerous because his position within our community. FYI: Tee Shan is actually State Trooper Terrence Shanigan who is also a AK Libertarian Board member who supported non-libertarian candidates during the 2014 election cycle. I did question his loyalty to the Libertarian organization and he has since used his power to bash me with every chance he gets to include putting my familys safety at risk with his words. Individuals with absolute power like this AK State Trooper Shanigan are a paradigm to the old saying power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. There are so many good peace officers out there who don’t abuse their power and I am grateful to them for their brave service. Please pray for my family’s safety.
