Conditioning is a term that was seemingly borrowed from behavioral scientists. The organsims that adjust their behavior to meet the EXACT demands placed upon them in their environment succeed in this reality. The same goes with an athlete. If you train sloppy repetitions (especially exclusive sagittal plane movements), it will show up in the competetive arena and an assortment of problems will surely sprout from those sloppy repetitions. This is the reason why current strength and conditioning programs fail to do anything except injure an athlete over the course of time. Here is a video of me working with UFC KO artist Jeremy Stephens for his camp against cub swanson coming soon. We have been working working for 3.5 years and not once have we had to back out of a fight because of any soft tissue injury. Reason being that i took the first two statements in this post into mind before trying to condition jeremy or any other athlete I work with. PERFECT PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT.
