Condolences to the friends and family of Carlos Butch Jackson - TopicsExpress

Condolences to the friends and family of Carlos Butch Jackson formerly of Grenada Ave, in Roosevelt, Long Island. According to Bob Davis: Carlos was a community guy. Certainly not in an Al Sharpton kinda way. But in a truly meaningful way. Ways that made a difference. He always knew where you could find a job, for the day or for the week. He always knew where you could get a spare part for your bicycle or your car for almost nothing. A babysitter. An apartment. A ride to the train station. & more He always knew where you could find, just about anything that you could possibly want. And he was smart enough to know if you were worthy of that information . . . Butch was my next door neighbor in Roosevelt, NY. We used to talk over the fence. Every day. And that was long before the internet ever existed. I never really knew how old he was. It didnt matter. Thats because even when we were kids, he always seemed like he was about 30 years old. By conventional standards, Carlos wasnt the best looking, not a great dancer, not a great dresser and not a great athlete. However it seemed like he had the telephone numbers of about a million girls, and knew their parents well enough that every single one of them trusted their daughters with Carlos. Thats cuz Carlos had was people used to call a mean rap. His Wake is scheduled for Friday April 25, 2014 from 4-7 pm @ Moore Funeral Home, 150 Nassau Road Roosevelt, NY near Centennial Park (Services from 7-9 pm). Burial: 4/26/2014, 10am, Greenwood Cemetery, Uniondale, NY - with Carl B Grant, Roosevelt Junior - Senior High School. Frantz Casseus, Dwayne Pennywood, Darryl Elliot.
