Conference in Thiruvananthapuram on Jan. 12-14, click here to register newkeralainitiative/ticket/register PURPOSE OF NEW KERALA INITIATIVE (NKI) The purpose of the New Kerala initiative is to help develop a vibrant environment for economic growth in Kerala, by leveraging local talent as well as skills and expertise of Non-Resident Keralites, in New and Emerging Technologies. The Initiative will help attract investment and resources and will support skills training, mentoring, entrepreneurship and development of employment opportunities. The aspirational goal is to make Kerala a hub of technology enterprises and activities which will rival similar centers elsewhere in India. HOW DO WE ACCOMPLISH THE PURPOSE Help build and sustain an Entrepreneurship Eco-system with supportive government agencies, educational and training institutions, technologists, researchers, business community, investors and other stakeholders. Work with the State Government ministries and agencies to help bring in more expertise, capital, and other resources to support and enhance ongoing New Technology initiatives and activities and, where appropriate, help start new initiatives Promote entrepreneurship development through online education and mentoring programs for students and budding entrepreneurs. Help increase awareness, within India and abroad, about ongoing and planned new technology initiatives and activities, sponsored by central and state governments and by private enterprises in Kerala – in diverse areas of new technology.
