Confession #121796: Today, I wanted to go to a traditional style - TopicsExpress

Confession #121796: Today, I wanted to go to a traditional style American restaurant with my mom for her birthday. I saved up money so that I could pay for her as a treat. When we got there, they told us it was a 45-60 minute wait for a table even though they had a bunch of empty ones. We ended up going to one of our usual Asian restaurants. I dont mean this in a racist way at all, but I want to know what to expect next time we go to one of those white people restaurants. How much is the price? What is the typical wait time? What to expect? Am I the only one with this problem? Admin 1: Prices vary on restaurant, sometimes youll be able to find the prices on Yelp or the restaurant website (if they have one). Wait times are also dependent on time. Most are very busy at lunch and dinner and relatively slow in between. Restaurants dont utilize all the seating areas either because they are being run by a skeleton crew (its more common on holidays because workers like to spend time with their families instead of working) or theyre trying to create buzz by forming a line thus attracting potential customers who are out and looking for any random place to eat.
