Confession 314: I recently walked in on my best friend (housemate) making out with a guy that isnt her boyfriend. She promised me it was a one time thing and it wasnt supposed to happen but she was studying with a classmate and things escalated. Se swears it was only because she felt lonely and that she loves her bf and she regrets it. I should point out that her bf took a leave of absence to go back home because his mom is dying and he wanted to be with her before shes gone. I know she means what she says and I can tell she hates herself for it but part of me wants to tell her bf about it. She refuses to tell him since she doesnt see the point of hurting him when its not going to happen again and its in the past and she regrets it. I think a relationship with lies is a bad thing and that he deserves honesty. I confess that for the first time I dont know what to do. Whats more important? I dont want to lose my friend and I dont want to be the cause of their breakup because other than this theyre both amazing people and go well together. But I dont think its fair for her to basically lie by keeping her mouth shut. Im losing sleep over what to do.
