Confession in the Heart Psalms 15:2 He who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks truth in his heart; We should pay attention to what we are confessing in our hearts. Our confessions in the heart should possess the truth because when you have the truth in your heart you will walk in the path of blameless. This isnt the muscle in the center of your chest but our internal being that we speak to. The older I get the more I seek the truth in my heart often this truth is found in the internal conversations that goes on in my heart. David ask a two questions in verse 1 Psalms 15:1 KJV) A Psalm of David. LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? The answer to these questions come to us in verse 2 He who walks blamelessly , one whose action are up right, and the one who speaks truth in their heart. The confession in the heart is what will produce the proper walk and the proper actions in our lives. Everything starts in this place that why the word of God tells us to guard our hearts with all vigilance Proverbs 4:23-24 Amplified) 23 Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life. 24 Put away from you false and dishonest speech, and willful and contrary talk put far from you. Our internal speech is where this vigilance must begin. In our heart conversations we must seek out the truth, and eliminate our willful and contrary speech. The issues that flow from our hearts will either be pure and pristine or muddy toxic places that will not produce life of Christ in us or the world around us. In Psalm chapter 14 we see the dishonest, false, willful, and contrary speech in someone’s heart Psalms 14:1 KJV) To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. The confessions in our heart should be based upon the truth that we find in the word of God, this will produce the ability to abide and dwell where He said we could. I had a chiropractor that I respected as a man of God tell me that the worst thing ever invented for our backs was a recliner, he said “that man was designed to set on a log so that he could maintain proper balance in his body.” Most of us at this point are rejecting this notion because our recliners our more comfortable. Often the conversations in our hearts has to do with how we feel or what someone who we believe to be right has told us we buy into this ideal in our heart because it fits into our comfort zone and then we reconfirm the ideal as being truth wither it really is or not. So what should we do? We should become as those at Berea Act 17:10-11 NKJV) 10 Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. When information comes to us we should try our very best to see if that info lines up with the only sure truth in the word of God, and confess that truth in the internal conversations in our heart.
