Confessions of a new mother: We have all heard the (true) - TopicsExpress

Confessions of a new mother: We have all heard the (true) statement that women are strong individuals. But I am convinced God gives mothers supernatural strength that kicks in when she delivers. For most women, we juggle many hats. We are wives, sisters, aunts, grandmothers, God-mothers, nieces, care givers, college students, career women, business owners, teachers, social workers, therapists, church workers, evangelists, full time ministry workers, etc. just to name a few. But even with all of these things on a womans plate, MOM supersedes them all. A woman can work 12hours a day after being up all night with a sick child, operate in ministry, spend quality time with husband, write a paper for undergrad/grad school and still find time and strength to care for her child/children. I always wondered how my mom did it all! Its like working 3 full time jobs everyday all while experiencing unexplainable energy and joy at the same time. I really appreciate God for putting in me (when He formed me) what was needed to raise and care for my daughter. He knew what little ones would need during these dependent years. So, in all of His infinite wisdom, He went ahead and put what was needed in a woman before she even thought about being a mother. God is truly amazing!! Its the power and strength that comes from Him that allows new mothers to function/be alert off of 4hrs of sleep, sometimes one meal a day (simply because you dont realize you havent eaten since breakfast until you finally get in bed at night. Lol) all while making sure the little one has what he/she needs. No one can really explain where this strength comes from except it is God-given. Confession: It really is in my weakness that His strength is made perfect (2 Cor 12:9)!!! When it feels like all my strength is gone, that little cry ignites my God-given strength and its mommie to the rescue. Signed, Taylors mom
