Confessions of an Autism Mom... Meltdowns are horrible. Horrible on your child, horrible to watch your child go through. Horrible feeling of helplessness, frustration and yes, sometimes anger. Meltdowns are exhausting, for the entire family. Heres the thing... Meltdowns happen. And since they do happen, there are rare times when the gods of autistic overload align perfectly with the autism moms needs...and the post meltdown 8 hour crash just happens to coincide with a Friday night, a glass of wine, and a very peaceful evening. Confession.... After this week, Im thankful for the timing and Im not going to feel guilty for enjoying the lack of overload. 😱😐😐😐 That is all.
