Directions Please go online to the website: thewolfrun/map for directions to the Wolf Run site. Wolf Run signs on the roads near the event location (the Fosse Way (B4455) and the Welsh Road) will guide you directly to the site on the day. Please note: the Welsh Road will be closed to traffic but Wolf Runner cars will be allowed through to gain access to the parking area. You may be temporarily held up by the road blocks. Please plan your route to come via the Fosse Way where possible - this will be quicker than coming from Southam. Car Parking The car park is located in the event field next to the Start and Finish areas, and also the Wolf Run After-Party area. Please remember there will be a £5.00 per car parking charge on the gate. Please have the right change ready to prevent queuing. Please note that all cars are left at the owner’s risk. Please email info@thewolfrun to let us know if you are coming by coach. Wolf Run Site The Wolf Run takes place on a working farm. The private farmhouse and outbuildings that can be seen from the event area are completely out of bounds. DOGS ARE NOT PERMITTED. Money: Cash Machines There are no cash machines on site so please bring cash with you for food and drinks. The nearest cash machines are in Southam or Leamington Spa, approximately 3 miles from the Wolf Run site. Registration Registration opens at 9am. You will see signs for the Registration Area from the car park. All runners must be registered at least an hour before their start time. Before you register, you must hand in your completed legal disclaimer and will then be handed an envelope with your runner number and wrist band inside. Please fill out the medical form on the back of your number and fix the number to the front of your running top with the safety pins provided. You can also ask the WR staff to write your number onto your arm/chest/forehead with permanent marker, so if you lose your runner number on course, you will still be able to find your Wolf Run photos when searching the Peachysnaps site. Disclaimer Please print out and complete the Wolf Run Disclaimer and bring it with you on the event day. You do NOT need to post it back to us in advance! If you can fill it out in advance, this will save you time at Registration. If you can’t print the disclaimer there will be plenty available in the registration tents. Every runner is required to give a completed disclaimer in before receiving their run number at registration. Car Keys and Bags Where possible, please leave all bags in cars. The team at the key drop tent can take a very limited number of bags, but this is only for runners who do not have access to a car. Car keys should be placed in the personalised envelope that you are handed when you register and handed in at the key/ bag drop. They will only be handed back to the individual whose name is on the envelope, so please don’t assume that a pack member who finishes before you can pick up your car keys! All keys and bags are left at the owners risk and Lionheart Events is not liable for any loss or damage to such property. Toilets Toilet facilities will be available including disabled and baby changing facilities. We provide a good number of toilets but there is ALWAYS a queue just before the Run kicks off, as 3000 people all have a last minute loo stop! Please arrive earlier if you don’t want to queue! Safety Briefing A safety briefing will be given to each wave before they start. Any runner who misses this briefing cannot take part in the Wolf Run so please make sure you are registered and at the Start area at least half an hour before your start time. Course Map and Markers There will be a course map near the Registration area that will show the location of the obstacles. Kilometer markers will also be included on the course. Footwear All runners must wear suitable footwear: enclosed shoes so that toes and feet are fully protected, with decent soles. Trail running shoes are recommended but running trainers are also fine. Absolutely no spikes on any running shoes! Please note: if you are not wearing suitable footwear, you may not be allowed to run, so if you have any queries about footwear please email us in advance on info@thewolfrun. Clothing Runners should be aware of the weather forecast and bring appropriate clothing, sunscreen etc. Good quality running gear is recommended. Gloves are a good idea if you are concerned about potential scratches from rough wood/bark. Sunglasses and watches will get lost if they are not secured. iPods will definitely not survive the mud and water! A change of warm clothes, shoes and towel should also be in your kit bag. Fancy Dress We are happy to welcome runners wearing fancy dress. However, your costume has to be Wolf Run course-friendly - there are obstacles including deep water and tunnels that would be tricky in a very large costume! We reserve the right to restrict or ban inappropriate fancy dress costumes. Water Stop There is a water stop half way around the Wolf Run course. Finish The Finish line is very close to the Start area. When you have crossed the finish line, you will be presented with your goodie bag and your Wolf Run finisher’s shirt. Freshening Up! Water hoses will be available to get the worst of the mud off. Please bring your own towels (and a change of clothes) - baby/face wipes are also good for getting mud off! Spectators Spectators are very welcome and food, a bar, music and a free bouncy castle are all situated near the Start/Finish area. Spectators must not obstruct the course or the runners, and must stay in permitted areas at all times. Lost Property If you find any lost property at the Wolf Run, please hand it in at the Key/Bag Drop. If you lose property, please go to the Key/Bag Drop and report it lost. Wolf Run After-Party The Wolf Run After-Party will run throughout the day. There will be hot and cold food available to purchase, including a local pig roast, baked potatoes and sandwiches. There will also be a bar selling soft drinks and Wolf Beer. Live music will start at 12pm. Photographs Event photography is provided by Colin and Andy from Peachysnaps. If you see them on the course -smile! Their photos will be available to buy in hard copy or as a Facebook profile shot after the Run. Links to the photo site will be posted on the Wolf Run website and our Facebook page. Weather If the course is reviewed prior to the Wolf Run and deemed unsafe due to extreme weather conditions, we will reschedule the event. The course is reviewed in the week before the Wolf Run and on the Friday before the event. Please check the website and Facebook in addition to your emails for updates in the week before the Wolf Run. If we were forced to delay the event, we would email you as soon as the decision is taken and you would be given the option of attending the rescheduled event or another Wolf Run at a later date. Accidents and Injuries The Red Cross is attending the Wolf Run and will deal with any accidents or injuries. There will also be a doctor in attendance. Dogs We are sorry, but dogs are not allowed. Massage Sports massages to help your recovery will be available! All donations from relaxed post-massage Wolf Runners will be given to Newlife Foundation for disabled and terminally ill children in the UK.
