Congrat to all of the runners at the State Cross Country Championship yesterday. Especially St Edward 5th & 6th grade girls for winning the State Championship. There were over 4000 runners from about 250 schools that competed yesterday. The odds of us (St Edward) having so many good runners from such a small talent pool (about 40 girls) were great. Plus not having 3 of our top 6 girls from last year made the odds even greater. I am really proud of how the girls stepped up to the challenge and trained hard all season. Many thanks to our parents for getting your kids to practice, running with them, the popsicles, the hot chocolate, working the St Edward meet, the fun overnight road trip etc.. Thanks to our awesome coaches Brad & Becky Walker, Dave Davies and coach David Flaughier. Also our 8th grade girls for being great team leaders. This was truly a fun and enjoyable season. Most of all our kids had fun and believe me they sure know how to have FUN!!
