Congrats to Chris Graf on winning the Jerry Richert Memorial at the Cedar Lake Speedway tonight (Saturday September 7). Graf put a huge exclamation mark on his championship season, or as some described it, put the icing on the cake when he drove to a convincing victory in the final UMSS show of the season. In the 16 UMSS races in 2013, Graf never finished lower than 10th and the 20G was on their game in providing a quality car for Chris to drive each and every race. Graf thanks his crew, family and sponsors for his tremendous season with the UMSS In the sub-plot tonight, Jason Tostenson suffered and engine issue following his heat race and was done for the night. In the end, Tostenson held on to the runner-up spot in the season point standings by just five markers over Cody Hahn. Hahn finsihed fourth at the Richert Memorial but needed a couple of more spots to overtake Tostenson. Lee Grosz, who turned in a solid second place effort at CLS, moved up from 6th to 4th in the final points. Tony Norem had the motor let go in his B1st car in the feature and dropped to fifth in the final standings. Jerry Richert, Jr. was the first car out with mechanical issues and ended up sixth in the season points. Rounding out the top ten in points were Rick Kobs, Neal Matuska, Jared Goerges and Leigh Thomas. Complete race results can be found at the following link. A fine field of 21 UMSS and 29 IRA sprints were in the pits at CLS.
