Congrats to Hogs defensive coordinator Robb Smith. After a very impressive first season with us, his new 3-year contract makes him the highest-paid assistant in the history of Arkansas athletics ($750,000/yr). Smith says he gives all the credit to Bielema, the rest of the staff and his players (especially seniors for buying into his unique system/philosophy after so many coaching changes). Smith said he & his family love it here in Arkansas and that its been an incredible experience. Hes a young, passionate coach whos finally getting more of the recognition he deserves (thanks largely to Bielema as well for understanding his vision & style). Smiths new contract also prevents him from making certain lateral moves, so hes not supposed to get a job anywhere else for at least a few years. #GoHogs #NeverYield #WPS #ImABeliemer
